As a leader within the art community. JD has been the host of a several open art shows. Shows solely put together for the local art community to share their best, and do it in a open and accepting way. Open to all artists and all skill levels, with a strong sense of respect and love for one another. As well as hosting regular art nights for local artists or aspiring artists to come together to relax, create, and build connections with other artists. Respectfully, JD has also been the host/organizer for local shows/fundraiser events for artists that we have lost within the local community. 
Moving forward with love, an open and understanding mind and space, respect for the artists that we've lost, and also for the ones that may be unseen or unheard, willingness to give back, drive to encourage and uplift those around him, and a deep passion to build connections and community based around the love of art. We all deserve a voice, we all deserve a space, and we all deserve respect.
