I've always enjoyed drawing flowers, but once I started tattooing I found a great joy in roses. From traditional tattoo paintings of flash designs, to textile and patterns designs.
Shapes and Colors
Things can get pretty complicated, in life and art. I've always been very drawn to minimalism and abstract expressionism, the idea of exploring emotions through basic shapes and colors seemed like a rewarding challenge. In my everyday life I struggle with depression and anxiety and have throughout my life but I've always tried to use it as fuel for my work as much as possible. Most clearly these concepts can be seen in my canvas work. Stripped down to the core of my emotions, whether in the midst of anxiety or being crushed into depression, they went directly into these paintings. There's a certain amount of balance and composure that come with painting and dealing with these issues, a connection that feels more honest than anything else.
Tattoos, Paintings, Illustrations, etc.
I love all mediums and art forms. Different tools bring different limitations. Art forms deserve respect, so I do my best to treat each medium with such. Understanding whats been done is a great way to know where to start. If you see anything you like, if you see my work going in an interesting direction, let me know. I'd love to hear from you. If you see a painting you'd like or want to talk about commissioning an idea you have I'd love to hear your ideas. Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
This was a charcoal still life of some vinyl figures I had in the studio. It was a fun project that was made even more joyful when I got to share it with a very cool client that offered to buy from me.
